Fairwood Explorer – Spring 2026

Spring 2026

Day/Time: Fridays from 12:25 to 1:25 PM. The instructor picks up the TK and K children at 12:25 and brings them to class. The 1st-3rd graders come to class as soon as they are released.

Ages: TK-3rd Grade

Schedule: 8 Classes (3/27-5/29) March 27 April 3, 10  May 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 (Price includes processing/facilities fee of $30.)

NO CLASS ON: Apr 17, April 24

Location: Grassy Field in Playground on the Primary Side. In case of inclement weather, we’ll be placed in a classroom TBD.

Instructor: Andy Ziker

Performance: May 29th from 12:55-1:25 PM (last 30 minutes of class) in the grassy field in the primary playground. Please bring your own camp chairs or seating is available on concrete lip of the large planter box.

Sibling Discount Code: SIB20 (Good for one session at a time. Does not include siblings from past sessions and the discount can be used once per set of siblings.) Provides a discount of $20.

In the case of force majeure (such as schools closing/moving to virtual learning because of the pandemic), weekly instruction will be offered in the form of YouTube videos or Zoom classes.

Andy Ziker

Andy Ziker is a longtime educator and professional musician and founded Bucketeers in 2014. Andy has authored 14 drum instruction books and three children’s books. He has taught private drum set lessons to children & adults for 35 years and taught 4th grade and middle school science in the public schools. Andy has a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Arizona State University. He currently plays in a popular Santa Cruz area rock cover band called Spun and teaches private drum lessons at The Rhythm Academy of San Jose.
