Farnham Elementary (TK-3) – Fall 2026

Day/Time: Thursdays from 2:00 to 2:50 PM. TK/K are picked up by the Bucketeers instructor at 2:00 PM and start class as soon as possible.

Location: P5 (Music Room)

Ages: TK-3rd Grade

Schedule: 8 Classes (9/17-11/19) Sept 17, 24 Oct 15, 22, 29 Nov 5, 12, 19 (Price includes facilities/processing fee of $35.)

No class on Oct 1 and 8

Instructor: Kevin Coggins

Performance: Parents are welcome to attend the last class of the session on 11/19 at 2:20 PM. This is an informal presentation, not a full-fledged performance.

In the case of force majeure (such as schools closing/moving to virtual learning because of the pandemic), weekly instruction will be offered in the form of YouTube videos or Zoom classes.

Kevin Coggins

Kevin Coggins is a drum set player and music educator with 30+ years of professional experience in the music industry. Kevin studied music education and percussion performance at The University of New Mexico and San Jose City College, studying jazz improvisation, music theory, music history, and piano, as well as the psychology of teaching and learning. He performed in orchestra, wind symphony, percussion ensemble, jazz ensemble, concert band, marimba band, and marching band.  Kevin is a life-long learner and currently working toward a certificate in Digital Music Production at West Valley College.

A long-time resident of the South Bay Area, he has been active in many public schools conducting seminars and programs about music history and the role of drums in live music productions. A father of two, he and his sons all attended schools in the Campbell Union School District.
